cant join friends games, yet theres no world map now?

So, what? Am I just not able to play the game now, it wont let me join friends games, tells me to use the join game feature on the world map, yet there is no world map option on my main screen. Wtf? Already not liking this update

Login to any area, then go to your map and choose 'Join game'.

Type in the player name in the first field and search.
