Once you open the egg, it's on that certain character. Sucks, but we all have to deal with it.

The forum mods/devs are not dealing with re-egging, these cases are handled by STS support. Make an account and file a case here (it may take up to 3-4 days to be taken care of, make sure you don't level the pet until then): http://support.spacetimestudios.com/

I accidentally opened an egg and STS re-egged it once I emailed support- it hadn't ever been used, and they did it within a day or two of me emailing. Give it a shot.

Any pet level 1 can be re-egged. Just send a mail to support@spacetimestudios.com

Mention your account & IGN in the mail. It will be re-egged in 1-2 days. If not, a week max.

They will re-egg any pets if its kept at lvl 1
just send an email to support@spacetimestudios.com with character name and pet name.
