Lag Switch or what?

Was playing pvp today and we were 1 kill away from winning, while the enemy was 3 or 4 kills away. Targeted a rogue (not saying name) by himself for the final kill, but then it seemed none of us were able to actually hit him with any of our skills. All of my teams skills hit trulle, now mind you this rogue was between us an trulle. How is it that 2-3 peoples skills miss one target? A few seconds later his team killed us all and they won. He seemed to be playing normally as he had killed one of my teammates. But no matter how many times i attempted to combo him it wouldnt go through. If it really is lag switch that is just sad to see already geared players need to cheat to win a match. Would be nice if any knowledgable person can give feedback on this.

I had this a few times too, also in pve.
The char is somewhere stuck on the map but his/her pet still moves. Also you can see him/her shooting arrows from her place to mobs on the other side if the map..
The char actually is still moving and you can estimate where it is by looking at its pet.
I guess it has to do with lag yes, tho ppl reported my char was far behind too while I don't use lag switches or anything

Yea sometimes rouge gets stuck on wall but is actually moving or was just using troll very good and avoided hits

The rogue was standing in front of trulle literally an open target

Yes I was in the op's team.
The target was definitely using lag switch.
All of my arrows were hitting air untill i see the target vanishes and sniping me from back.

All of our team experiencing same? Coincidence much?

Basically "hacking" or cheating. Its used in many online games. If you use it, on your opponents screen it will show you either frozen or moving for a few seconds, and no matter what they do it will not effect you. However on your screen the game will actually be live, and everything you do effects your opponent. Not sure jow else to explain it. Try googling what is a lag switch

I don't play on taco bell wifi lol, idk about you. My ping is always stable in green(90-170ish ping) and rarely spikes, unless its caused by the server. I use t-mobile and it works fine. And no I don't play on a flip phone, my phones processor works fine as well and doesn't contain any virus or anything. Feel free to search up ways to build a lag switch into a pc, im sure it can be done

I live in the U.S., a bit far from their servers but t-mobile has really good service throughout the U.S.

Never had lag issue but I don't pvp . Pve my connection is great a lot of my teammates die from lag or claiming . Honestly most of them just use that as an excuse . They only seem to lag when they die .
I use good connection , I don't share my wifi with anyone , I pay little extra for faster connection and I don't use Taco Bell wifi

Not everyone use that as an excuse tho.
Most people dont say Lag Lag much untill they actually die for the lag.
if you live opposite side of the world to sts server, most of the times you will face more or less lags no matter how good your internet is.

Where are their servers? I'm living in the U.S.

because I have the best wifi (off verizon) that I can get and I'm still lagging terribly in pl I spent my time in the area of 30-50 no I'm always in red often between 1,750-29,000

Does anyone remember the dc fest that was going on a while back? Everyone was getting dc in elite, pvp or when just sitting in town. They fixed it and justg posted a thread explaining they got a solution for the dcs but it isn't a very technical one.

Well, ever since they "fixed" that dc problem the phenomenon you are talking about has been common occurence. I believe when ppl get dc, the server attempts to reconnect them forcebly. That's when some packets get lost and people appear to be invisible.

Even if people appear to be invisible you will still see their pet. The character will appear to be stuck but the pet will be roaming around the map giving away the actual position of the player.
