Intel patents "Multiplying two numbers"
Ever seen the U.S. patent index? You find some really bizarre things there - Intel filed a patent yesterday (4/19/11) simply called "multiplying two numbers." Yes, the thing you learned in grade school...they actually filed a patent for it.

tl;dr: Intel files patent for multiplying two numbers together, and this would apply to enhancing future cryptography models.
