According to GM on the Producer's Letter thread:

"[E]lites are coming this week. Tomorrow in fact! Then after that King Northal wakes up. This is a really cool new event unlike anything we've done before. Hope you like it!"

G-M said they will release elite content next month. He said this 2 weeks ago. I guess tomorrow there will be just a regular weekend event..
