I think you have to use a lot of those Orc Shaman Effigy things until the bar fills up. It looks like the bar is on the World map from the pictures.

Fill up the bar, King wakes for 24 hrs, kill him lots, he goes back to sleep. Repeat.

So do I, guess I'll just have to keep farming and see, I see people getting multiple materials in one map and I've only had one for 1 hour of farming.

I'm guessing so, I did the last map about 8 times and couldn't find that boss. Pretty stupid of them to let you get the quest now and make you look for something that isn't there. From the looks of that bar aswell I think it's gonna take a month to fill haha.

From previous events, assuming there is no error, the bar initially fills extremely slowly. During the lovecraft event, probably for the 1st day or three, it seemed as if the bar wasn't moving. Once people get farming and crafting, the speed picks up.
