Platinum Guide - For Android
This guide is made in conjunction with Lovenus' great Platinum Guide. Check his out HERE.
*Note:* please see the end of my post if you are unable to use your or a family members credit card. I have a few alternatives.
What is platinum?
Platinum is the in-game currency in Pocket Legends, the world's largest mobile MMO. With Platinum, you'll be able to buy lots of great potions, rare equipment, exotic dungeons, and fun costumes at the in-game store to become the best dressed, most powerful legend!
How can I get platinum?
You can get platinum by purchasing it from PocketLegends.com or by earning it for FREE by downloading and running certain apps. More details will be shown below.
Let's Get Started
Option 1
On an Android device you have a few different option for purchasing platinum, the first option I will explain is by purchasing platinum directly though your character's home screen.
Once you start up the Pocket Legends app, log into your account by entering your email and password.
Once you have successfully logged in, you will see this screen
One thing to note, is that platinum will carry over across all of your characters on your email address. So don't think you have to purchase platinum on each of your characters.
At this screen, there are two routes to purchase platinum. The first is at the top of your Android device's screen.
Once you click on this, you will be shown this dialog box:
Click on "Earn Free Platinum!" You will then be redirected to another page with a listing of the available apps you can download in order to receive free Platinum. This page is shown below:
Here you are able to download any (or all) applications that will earn you free platinum. For example, if you choose to download the eBay Mobile (Free) app, simply click on the eBay app. It will take you to the Android Market:
Here you can click on the Install Button. Once the installation is complete, just click on the eBay app that is shown in your "applications" section of your phone. Once the app has been run, you can exit out of it, and you should see free platinum in your account! This process may take a short while to show up in your account, but if you seem to be waiting an extended amount of time, please contact SpaceTime Studios at: email:support@spacetimestudios.com
Option 2
Back at the homescreen, you can choose to purchase Platinum through Space Time Studios' website.
Click here on the homescreen:
You will be brought to a page that looks like this:
Here, once again, you have two options for purchase. The first uses the same method as previously stated, and is the option "Earn Free Platinum!". Please follow the above instructions once you click this option. The other option utilizes a credit card, and is located at the right of your screen called "Platinum".
Once you click on this, you are able to select which Platinum package you would like to purchase.
Once you select your package, click on the "Buy Platinum for $x" (For example, I selected the 30 Platinum option).
When you click on the "Buy Platinum for $x" option, you will be redicted to Space Time Studios' Web Store.
When we zoom in closer, we see there are several options not previously listed within the Pocket Legends game. Packages are 30, 75, 165, 800, and 2000 Platinum.
You select the option that you want, and scroll down on the page to the area where you enter your Pocket Legends account email address and Pocket Legends account password.
Don't click enter yet. Below the account and password fields, you will see three payment options. PayPal, Google Checkout, and Amazon Pay Now. Once your information is typed, click on your desired payment option.
The first I will explain is the PayPal option. Once you click on the PayPal button, you will be directed to PayPal's mobile site for Spacetime Studios, Inc.
If you already have a PayPal account, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, and click the Log in to PayPal button. Here you will enter your username and password, and can finish the checkout while logged in.
If you do NOT have a PayPal account, stay at the top of the page. Here, you can enter your credit card number, and personal information. Then once all fields are completed, scroll down and hit the "Continue" button. You will finish the checkout, and your Platinum will be linked into your account!
The second option is to use Google Checkout. After clicking on the Google Checkout option, you will be brought here:
Click on Complete your purchase, and you will be sent to another page where you can enter your information.
Enter the requested information, click on Continue, and finish checking out. You will see your Platinum in your account in the near future!
The last payment option is to use the Amazon method. If you do not have an Amazon account, click on the "New to Amazon.com?" link, and create your account. If you have an account, simply enter your account information, and click Sign in. You will be brought here:
Click on Confirm, and finish your checkout. Once completed, your platinum will be sent to your account!
Keep in mind, you can access these methods while playing the game. Simply click on one of these two links:
Just follow the steps stated above, and you will soon have to key to endless fun in Pocket Legends!
Option 3
Purchasing Platinum via https://auth.pocketlegends.com/WebStore/store.jsp
This option is very similar to Option 2, except it is done while on a PC, not your handheld.
A few hints for those not able to use a credit card.
You can purchase a Pre-Paid Visa card to use for any of the above methods.
The Pre-Paid cards are a great safe alternative to using your private credit card. The only downside is that they cost a small amount more than what is charged on the card.
You can go to a bank or any of the following locations to purchase said card:
Walmart
ACE Cash Express
CVS
Walgreens
Safeway
Rite Aid
Another option would be to purchase an iTunes gift card from any retailer that sells the cards, and use the methods outlined in Lovenus' guide to purchase platinum. His guide is HERE
