3G updates

Is it possible we will ever be able to dl updates with 3G on the iPhone? I personally do not have wifi at my house. I also live in the lower income side of town so there are no coffee shops or other such place with free wifi anywhere near my house. It's not a huge set back but it usually means everytime there is an update I get locked out of playing for a couple of days until I get a chance to stop by a friends house or some such. Also does anyone know why iPhone does this? I am pretty sure androids don't have the same problem.

Sorry, it's Apple. Androids do have the same problem with their 30MB download limit. On Android, we actually have to patch 15MB on first login.

Um what is this 30mb download limit you speak of? I have an unlimited data plan with a 5gb 4g threshold where it becomes as slow as 3g after that. Unless you mean the app cache can't get any bigger than 30mb? What exactly happens when the app cache reaches 30mb?

Does not answer my question, since my Android can download without limit on 3g. Guess that was in answer to OP.
