Made images on guild forums

I look at several guilds, and lots of them have an image of their guild logo at the top, such as <Horror> and <High Society>. They have logos that looks like they've made it to represent their guild. I uploaded one from the cpu Google and it looks like it's from a sports team (XD) but it matches our guild name well. So I was wondering how to make a guild logo. Thanks for your answers! They are highly appreciated!

You'll have to ask the forum's talented sig artists for help with creating a logo.

All I know is that you need photo editing software (photoshop, MS Paint, Pixlr Online, SumoPaint, etc.)
the last 2 I listed are free and online.
Photoshop, you have to buy to use (least that's what i know..)
MS Paint is for Windows OS only (I'm not sure there's a OSX version of it)

depends on the artist, though none i know of charge real money
(many artists will also do it for free)
