I didn't cross out one letter, and the only word it formed was lactones. It was horrible.

LOL. I had to do the same thing! I actually printed out the shield and crossed every letter out.

Edit: Could "next" mean the next level? As in sobek's blade? And "last" mean sand storm? Not sure how lie would fit in with these but it just came to mind...

The ancients last word was Death. (I think, see AO1 or 2)

So I tried Death Set. Nope.

Or it could be also the letter S, as the last letter in ancients is S.
