bird with sword or axe anygood?

Hi I was wondering if my bird equipped an axe or sword, will he be able to 'throw arrows' when doing his skills?

Im sure normal attack will just do normal hits and not shoot anythingm right?

His attacks will stay the same range that they are right now.

Just as a bear does got gain range with his slashes when using a bow.

Skills. You'll still shoot arrows.

youll "throw" the axe/sword. only when you use your skills. It works with a dagger for birds as well. You attack at low range but you can get some distance and use a skill and it works. however you cant continue using your auto attack. it could be good when killing a single enemy because you can fire a skill or two go in close for a few auto attacks and while backing away fire another skill to finish.

What weapon your bird is holding doesn't affect your skill range. You'll still shoot arrows when using blast shot, repulse, blind, etc. And range for thorn root and all other skills are unchanged by the weapon you have equipped. But I think there is a theory that blasters(such as the mega blaster and shotgun) and crossbows (raid roach auto bow, etc) have increased range for your skills. Significant enough to make a difference in combat situations. (You see a big difference in range)

I have a STR/DEX bird with a fury set (sword & shield) and honestly, my accuracy isn't very good to compete with dodge rates of other characters. Its bearable since I can tank and deal good damage, but with 9x% accuracy, it's not a secure amount. Just adding that in there.
