How to get more than one lightning strike??

So I was running km3 and I see a Mage that uses lightning. But often there are like 5 lightning strikes all at once. How does he do that?

P.s he doesn't have the glint stone set

Likely electrical discharge upgrade on lighting strike is what you are seeing.

or maybe he/she used legendary expedition gun, the proc also summon lightning strikes

Yep when you are killing one mob when that happens. By killing I mean dealing the last blow to that NPC/mob

It is also possible when you get the glintstone set for mage.

. Is it useful in pve? Just wondering since mages dont always get last hit mostly rogs
