chaos jewel and para stone

hii guys, just wanna know if chaos jewels work the same way as para stone? cuz to me, its just like para stone only para is better. thanks in advance!

actually what i want to know is, for example, weak chaos it stated +0.78dmg..lvl9 btw..so will it just add 0.78dmg or will it add more?

7.5 is base damage. The damage further gets amplified depending on your Bonus DMG %.

My point here is that the community has been misled by every one thinking para is 30 dmg. More then half the ppl do not know what the dmg% modifier is. Most ppl just look at the "+green color dmg" number in order to make their gear purchase decisions.
And that is why i always tell ppl para is +7.5 dmg & not ~30.
On a separate note...does this mean noble is stronger then para, even if para scales up? Noble will add ~8dmg plus bonus dmg% also.

About the chaos jewel...
The real numbers of dmg added are not really known, or those who know have not revealed them.
I say this because I have seen screen shots of 0.78chaos adding more then 0.78 dmg. This is just a example.
I could be wrong because the person could have been under other buffs during the ss.

for myself at endgame, I just go one para item and then using some chaos jewels for the rest of it just because para gems can't be removed and the additional are 2.0 damage which isn't too far off from a noble chaos. For twinking at lower level, nothing can take the place of para gems simply because weak chaos jewels don't even come close

Next paras=2 dmg x bonus dmg
Noble chaos=1.68 × bonus dmg
So u can simulate first para by using 5 noble chaos but if u alrdy have first para, using 2 standard chaos will give same effect as adding another para

Well, You said 7.5 with the forumer's quote which was talking about damage/dps - anyone could interpret it as raw damage and not base damage. Base damage is the damage that gets amplified by the BD%. That was the point I was trying to make, ,I may have been vague which I realized after reading your quote-response.

Get 3-4 nature, u will be more pro than 8 chaos build
My lv12 rogue use:
1 para, 1 eye, 2 finese, 2 nature, 4 chaos, 1 diamond
Yes thats 11 slot cuz i use mythic ring
And i use eerie for crit, but lower armor forced me to get 1 diamond

Hope u can imagine how to set up rogue's twink build
And yes u dont need a lot of finese if u have eerie amulet

I hope this helps:

1st para gem = 2 dmg + 5 'hidden' dmg (7 dmg in total)
Each para after that = 2 dmg each
Chaos jewel = their respective dmg i.e. crack 0.42, damaged 0.60, weak 0.78 and so forth

To calculate the actual damage increase:

Para/chaos dmg X your character's Bonus Damage (in decimal form) = Actual Damage Increase

Example 1st para:
7 dmg X 4.5 (if your bonus damage is 450%) = 31.5 actual damage *thats why most people say 1st para gives them 30+ damage, because most of them have about 430%+ bonus damage

2nd para:
2 dmg X 4.5 (if your bonus damage is 450%) = 9 actual damage

Weak chaos:
0.78 x 4.5 (if your bonus damsge is 450%) = 3.51 actual damage

Well, all of that are based on my trial and error calculations.

p/s: About the 1st para, some people says the total damage is 7.5, I calculate it as 7 because that's how i remember it. Correct me if i'm wrong.
