Root Kills -- Counting

First can't decide whether to put this in PvP or Archer section.. :/

Anyway, today I've been in a couple instances where I've killed the person, but the DPS taken from thorn wall will kill me. Nothing unusual, right?

I remember the person who rooted used to not get credit for the kill, but the other guy would die. Now it seems that they do get credit? If anyone would like to test... add me. I've only seen in 2 times, so I'm not sure about this.

if you are talking about thorn root then ive had the same problems, the bleed proc is causing the kill but u dont get credit for it :/ sucks tho huh?

No, you used to not get credit... but I've been seeing people get credit, which is why I made a thread.

Tried that in Play Pyr at the entrance just now, got 23 gold from one chest, after opening 8(remaking once).

And when I tested it today, 8 of the 9 times we did it no one got credit. I'm confused why they got it the one, lag?

Good question. Maybe someone hit auto attack? I know it doesn't play the chest opening sound with thorn wall either. They just open- no gold, no sound.

Did you have a chest targetted when you used thorn wall? I'll have to do some testing later as well.

Nope, none of that. I created, tapped thorn wall, was done. No one else was there, nothing was being targeted.

Sometimes you get credit sometimes you don't get credit.

I see both happen, and I think what may happen is, like other skills such as break armor, it both 1. deals some damage and 2. has a special effect. So you may get credit if the skill damage kills them, or not if it's the negative regeneration effect that causes their death.

This is just a theory though.

the reason u sometimes get gold for chests is cuz its random. and no sound plays cuz no 'attack' was shot to it. it just opens....i know the gold from chests is random but im only part sure about the second spart

Seems to be working with chests again, for quite a while you wouldn't get any gold.
