whoever crits/dodges the most, or hits first debuff, or hits the last drain; tht type of thing, having the elite helm also helps a bunch

it takes a fair degree of skill to kill mage on mage, dodge, sadly is a factor in it now; but that doesnt stop 2pc in pinks killing 3pc elite mages, it's a matter of nuking out the buffs and timing, other mages will explain it alot better than meOriginally Posted by Marika1

well, i figured id give you a full example instead if random tips:
things that determine victory are:
dodge (sadly)
hot flash (this does more than half if it hits, heal ooff frost.
late drainer (you want to be able to heal to full w/o using heal, drain is good for this, it also makes them take some damage while you have full hps; late drain is a big factor)
whoever wastes a heal, you want to time your heals so you dont leave yourself open to a nuke from llightning, because in that 3 seconds, you can get hit hard.
whoever can kite well also generally wins, if you can kite drain, chances are, you will win
