My introduction

Hello all,
After a strange registration process that left me unable to post for over a month, I have remade my account, and can now post. I just got into PL after freeing up a lot of space on my phone, and even then with minimal other apps, I don't have room for much else, since PL is taking up most of the space.
I created a bird, since I always play as an Archer or other ranged job in every MMO I play. My bird's name is Vaxern, which is an anagram of Raven X, since that's the face I chose. However, I have since changed to a penguin, so the name doesn't really apply anymore. At the time of this post, Vaxern is Lv33, and it is painfully slow to level up.
Is it true that every kill only gives you 1 XP? That may explain why it is taking so long to level up.
Anyways, I'm here now. I promise not to be a total thorn in the backside. I'm a former moderator from a forum of another popular MMORPG, so I understand forum etiquette. Other games I play are Guild Wars, Team Fortress 2, and a few Wii games (No More Heroes 2, Sin & Punishment, Mario Kart).

Hello Vaxern, welcome to the forums

Depending on the mobs threat level (guide here: http://www.spacetimestudios.com/show...sand-victories.) You can get different XP. White = 1 XP, yellow = 2 XP, red = 3 XP. Any colors such as blue, gray, green, etc, won't give you any XP. Don't be too eager to level, take your time and enjoy it. Also, you get 1.3X XP when in a group of 4-5 players.

I see, but does the multiplier round up or down in a party of 4-5? So do I get 3 XP for yellow and 4 XP for red, or still 2 and 3?

The multiplier for a full group is UP. It means instead of your normal xp, it's now 1.3 times your normal xp.
So if you are fighting mobs that normally give you 2xp each, in a full group you would now be receiving 2.6xp per mob.

I actually thought the multiplier was just for full groups, i.e. 5 members. However, joining the fullest group you can find usually will result in more fun, more friends, a faster clearing of the dungeon, and greater likelihood of having the group be full as new people join.

It's a really good idea to search out full or fuller groups via the JOIN GAME button in your world map. If you are doing quests, use your quest Menu or the Portal to figure out where you are supposed to be. Then if you are alone, use JOIN GAME to find a fuller game in the map that you want. When you find a group of people you enjoy playing with, remember to friend them.
