Kill the pods? Move him? Find a higher dam group? I haven't done this yet, so I'm just guessingand besides no one's replied, so I'll entertain you.

I think you have to damage him by exploding the little slimes and the eggs... While you kite him and the slimes around the area and avoid the explosions yourself. My group managed to take down about a third of his health like this before we lost control of the situation.
Tough boss but there has to be a strategy. I was thinking he may be bugged.

From my experience in Armored Core, I can say that to kill miner....you prob have to kill everything around him and activate a switch somewhere to put down his shield or something Also, try attacking the electric pods ALL OF EM really quickly. Attack everything around him really quickly and then attack him. The devs said SL bosses will take more skill. Try drawing him out of the room. See if there is a power switch or something in the room and maybe that will let you attack him...ill see if it still hasnt been solved when the full game comes out.
