(L15 Bear) 2v2 FFA Tourney

Yeah that's right. We're bringing this **** back. I'm hosting this tourney, I hardly got any gold left but what we will do is make each player entry 100k (200k per team). All the money will be put in a 'prize lot' and the prizes will work like this:

1st place - 50% of the prize lot
2nd place - 30%
3rd place - 20%

The team will split their winnings equally.

I'm also going to play in my own tourney (and pay the toll) so watch out

Rules:
- no helm vanities
- forest fight only
- go based (before the match officially starts, both teams must be on opposite sides of the map, grouped up and ready to go.
- Once the match starts, there will be no pausing. If a player dcs or whatever, that's their problem.
- whichever team wins the first 2 game wins.
- I will spectate each game to make sure everything runs smoothly.

FYI - I will use a random number generator to determine which teams will fight each other.

You guys got a lot of time to apply and make your teams. Remember that this is BEAR only.

Here's my thought on helm vanities:

If the whole point of enforcing this rule is to make the fights more fair, then I agree that vanities like founders would be detrimental. But if the fights were to be more fair, it would be sensible to require every player to have the same gear. So since there's no gear restrictions, it wouldn't make sense to put a restriction on helm vanities.

Putting a no vanity helm policy is better than not. Idk about you but i prefer using snipers etc for my shield depending on how I'm playing. Some others dont. So by putting restrictions on actual gear it ruins gameplay. Founders is without a doubt an unfair advantage and some people may be smart and abuse the 1.5+ armor glitch but there is no point as I just said, it should be fair but allow alterations by players. BUT TO REITTERATE IT SHOULD STILL BE FAIR AFTER THESE ALTERATIONS ARE MADE IE NO DIS/ADVANTAGES.

If limiting Founders is because of the sake of "advantages", Iimiting actual gear should be as well. Having more money to spend is just as unfairly advantageous as having a Founders or a 1.5 armor vanity. How will the new/poor participate? Limiting actual gear will show who possesses skill rather than ruin gameplay because of the gear reliants.

Example: Fbow + Paw + Evid Mage vs Candle/Sniper Mage

Vey obvious who will win. Why? Because that's how much gear is weighed down here. It is 70% stat based.

Another example: Fbow + Tal + Evid Bear vs any other 15 Bow + Tal + Snipers Bear

Gear limitation is practically a requirement if you would like more participants.

Mage vs mage that is somewhat the case to an extent. However if anyone has seen a good 15 bear in action, bossology for me is the prime example, he used to go around wearing snipers set and jewel thief wing and still annihilate bears using fb, evid paw ect. Just through stomp kiting/hitting 1st time. And founders isn't really an element that can legally be gained in game. A player should be allowed to be the best they can be on their account as long as all the same options would be open to somebody of another account. Somebody can get richer, some body can't create their account sooner. There is a diff.

They're not any bossology new players out there so that's a high impossibility, and new players can't obtain wealth as vast as that in merely a few days/months. Especially not in this economy where event items can no longer be farmed. Limiting gear is the most simplistic approach to creating a fair atmosphere where it is all about skill, and small luck here and there.

Do you actually believe farming is that easy? Nevertheless, creating a Lv.77 as a NEW player, and doing ELITE skill-based dungeons?

Being good friends with Bossology myself and fighting not only at the lower levels but at endgame too, I guarantee there's no new player out there that can match how good he was even with a half year of time. Even he didn't get good that fast, and that's far from being closed minded if you ask me, experience reigns. That's practically the whole fact why our community created terms such as "new gen" and "oldie", to separate the skilled/experienced(old) and the unskilled/inexperienced(new/account buyers ). In addition, that's most likely the reason why Bossology was able to beat those other Bears, experience.

ok ok ok, i realllyyy didn't want to reply here, but here's my 2cents (again?). I think the only vanities you should rule out are founders and mechanic abusive ones; though no helm vanity at all is a much better way to do it.

I also think this is one of the few levels where you can win with anything, though the minimum (for the overwhelming majority) would be 35 platinum. Plus, this is a bear tourney, how did mage come into the question?
