The classes are all pretty balanced. Think PL, but more refined.

Commando is a tank. Deals decent damage, and keeps the enemies targeting the player. Skills mostly focus on crowd control.

Operative focuses on dps. Like a bird, basic mobs don't stand much of a chance 1v1. Skills seem mostly about allowing you to take on one at a time. You can stun a couple in a group and take out the ones that are still in action before the stun wears off.

Engineer is mostly about buffs and healing from what I've seen. Gets some skills that help for fighting a single enemy and deals pretty good damage with a normal attack, but I really don't recommend playing solo with one. They were made to play with groups.

In fact, all the classes have a well defined role when playing in a group. Having one of each with each player playing their class how they should be makes the game so much more fun and exciting. And with the way things are, it's not as easy to switch roles. The unique weapons and armor restrictions really lock it down. Some of it might change upon release seeing as a lot of other class equipment is visible on every class, you just can't equip it. But I kinda like how it is now. Makes your starting choice much, much more important.

Here is a shot of the login screen.


Here is me starting my commando out in the tutorial area.


Here is my character, an Engineer, wearing the lvl 15 Plat armor, standing at the "Enter World" screen.


Here I am standing in Blackstar. This is the main area where you find your stimpacks, crafting, stash, auction house, etc. Here you get a view of how the skills are mapped to the main screen. The little arrow to the right, when pressed, switches those skills (set of 4), with another set. You can specify both sets.


Taking a look inside the "friends" menu. You can also see the other menu options.


This is me again showing you how many gear spots we have. You can wear 2 non-visible items (You have to craft both of these.). These are comperable to a ring or a neckace, and give small bonuses.


Here is the auction house screen.


This is Thade standing in blackstar with his INSANE DPS/damage/armor/etc. He was just messing around, you cannot get this in game personally. Also, he is an Engineer class.

Very nice . I got most the devs onto my friends list fast, because there was only like 6 beta testers online in the whole game when they were all in towne .

One thing I dislike is the sound effects. I thought pocket legends was cheesy. Looks like I'll still be playing with dubstep blasting

Definitely. The ability for customization is HUGE now . The only thing I was a bit disappointing (not really the right word I am looking for) about was no set bonuses. I know that the game LITERALLY just came out, but I was hoping to see some sparkles

Are you at 20/21 yet? Are there "pink" equivalent of gears in SL?
