Not really. I bought plats a lot using 3 of my accounts, 3 of them doesn't get the keys.

it is random, only 5 of my accounts which bought plats got it out of 8 (amount of plat spent doesn't really matter because other than my main and a low lvl account for lock opening in the past, the other account only bought enough plats for name change) , the other 15 accounts doesn't get keys and some doesn't even get anything (maybe because i didn't log in recently ever since jewel lix for craft)

my account is 2-3 years old. i bought plats once and opened some locks too but only got 1 lix whereas my brother got 2 lix but he has bought plats many more times than me. though we both didnt got crate keys i need that 2nd lix too atleast xD

Huh , I find it odd that every singe of my friends who bough plat got 2 combo and keys , while those who were free players , only one elix or nothing... Sts I understand if you give gifts to old players... But like this? -_- It's either everyone or nobody ... Most of the players are broke right now , considering there is nothing to farm . At least giving us some keys to open a couple of locks would be nice...

i think they had a limited set of crate keys to give and just gave out few to some random players to test how they work as remi mentioned in announcement thread but giving like this is really unfair atleast we should have a raffle on forums or a little contest so that the people who participated has a chance to win. it woud have been more fair this way

The idea was for these to be purchaseable w plat, then sold to the gold community. Like the other tradeable plat items. And yeah, I think they didnt want to release too many initially.

Well stop complained to sts cause they granted some player keys not all, they already give combo elixir that helpfull i was agree with daehanie that we already blessed for free items from sts

I think the reason why not everyone has received crate keys is because StS probably wants to see how they affect the balance of the game i.e crates being opened by plat AND non plat users, how it impacts supply/demand of crates, prices and amount of mythics/arcanes in game etc.
To give absolutely every single player access to keys without having any idea how its going to change the game would have been a bad move. Yes it can be deemed unfair but it's no different to a handful of people sampling a new product or recipe in real life. As announced in Remi's update we will see more of these in game soon I think they just want to find the best way to make them available first without it completely breaking the economy even further...
