Horrible example, for the gold back vanity it wasn't a "random" selection for who recieved them and who did not.

Ouch harsh words..and it was random. I'm sure there was certain criteria that needed to be met to even be considered for the pool of players that were chosen..however from that point
Some randomness had to take place because not every single plat using,lock popping, vet account owning, heavy event contributor got them

random? i dont think so. i do agree with the certain criteria part.
my account is haloween 2013 and yet i didnt receive any gold shield or books, because the criteria is for people who open their account from jan 2013. my point still stand some got them some didnt, maybe those who didnt get "crate keys" didnt meet the criteria just like how i missed out on my free vanity.

I think He/She is saying that the gold back vanities weren't given to players randomly like how these crate keys and combo lix's were given. Back vanity were gifted specifically to players who had old accounts and played AL from the beginning, hence the reason why they're "veteran" vanity.

The lix and keys seem to be given out of pure random luck..

no im saying theres a criteria we all have to meet to qualify for the free crate tokens and like the vanity some met the criteria and some didnt
