Unable to invite to guild

I play on multiple e-mail accounts and one of them is a guildmaster. I tried to invite one of the other accounts (which I had just been playing) and got an error that the player did not exist.

Possibly caused by that account not being logged in at the time?

Thanks. The error is misleading, makes it seem like a bug when it is apparently intended behavior.
