The poll above has a few possible debate topics. Vote on your favorite. After the deadline passes (and this poll closes) the top two (2) favorites will become the debate questions. Candidates and their running mates will work on their "speech" and then PM me their response. It will then go to another public vote and the top five will move onto the next round.

Q: I can't get a hold of my running mate! What should I do?
A: If I do not get a message from either the presidential candidate or their running mate before the deadline, you will be considered as a "drop out" and will not be considered for the voting.

Q: Who can vote in the above poll?
A: Anyone.

Q: Am I still able to register as a candidate?
A: No; the deadline has already passed.

Q: I registered as a candidate before the deadline but don't see myself listed on this page or the discussion thread. What gives?
A: Entries that were missing required content (ie: you didn't list a running mate) or were inappropriate were automatically removed from running.

Q: I don't like any of the topics that you have listed. Can I suggest a new debate topic?
A: At this time, no. However you are welcome to message me with your suggestions PRIOR to the second debate thread.

Q: I think something is fishy with the poll. How can I report it?
A: Please send me a message with your concerns.

What happens if there is a tie?
A: I will break the tie(s).

Q: How exactly will the debates work?
A: After the community has chosen the two topics, I will PM both the running mate and candidate with the prompt. From there you and your running mate will have to coordinate an answer by the deadline. If you do not respond by the deadline you will be considered as a "drop out" and will not be considered for the voting.

Q: For the debate, can we "talk smack" or "trash talk" about our competitors?
A: No. All discussion must remain civil and appropriate. Focus on your strengths as a candidate. Any rude content will be moderated and is subject to disqualification.

Q: How exactly will the voting work?
A: After the candidates have responded, I will create a new thread with a poll for which the community (and the candidates) can vote on. There will be a deadline for the vote and the top 5 (for round 1) and top 3 (round 2) will move onto the next round. The votes will be PUBLIC in order to discourage dummy account voting. Spacetime reserves the right to adjust the polls if there is any suspected foul play.

if you were given 1 chance to change the state of economy in game with ONE move which would it be and why??

1: make the gold drop abundant?

no, that will not have any effects, even if increased by 50% like 100 instead of 50 will not do anything. If we overdo it by making it 1k we will kill the economy.
2 limit the loot drop all over Arlorian for mythic, arcane, ETC.
i'd rather buff and nerf some items than control their loot-ings.
3 make weekly events.
as long as it's not an overkill, yes.
4 abduct Arlorians and start martial law lol

1. Increased gold drop on bosses, if you got 1k from the higher tier bosses (tindrin and up) it would help if you needed potion money, but only way to farm huge gold would be to kill the bosses thousands of times

2 I think the object is to find the happy medium between to many drops and to few

3 yes, mini events, like hide and seek (that was the most fun I ever had in the game, chasing remi and Sam all over arlor)

Assuming you mean that you are paying voters to vote for you, let me drop some law (ToS) on it:

As Seoratrek has written from the Rules of Ingame Commerce thread:

Trades that do not fit into the trading window or through the Auction House/Consignment Shop are NOT allowed.

While AL gold may fit within a trade window, votes do not.

Of course, my VP Lugs and I will strategically plan everything so as never to be caught in any situation where we have to decide just one out of several available options (for full detail of our administration plans for Arlor, click HERE. In short, durian).

But very well, if we have to choose just one option from the choices presented by Ms Raia, it would have to be the weekly event. Why? Because weekly events allow us to accomplish a great many things. For example, a week of increased gold drop and double quest payouts will have less impact on the economy on a long term basis, while potentially invigorating interest in running maps and completing quests.

Tweaking arcane and mythic drops is all very well, provided the stats of those items show a direct improvement over previous release. Weekly event will also allow for resupply and hence price control of these items and more. Let's say we have a week where Venomous set items also drop from Underhul elite gold chests, or double chance of level 26 and 31 mythics from elite golden chests. We believe this will stabilize price and supply of these items for a period of time.

The only exception to this, of course, is durian loot, which should remain at a steady rate across the board the whole year.

Kidnapping and martial law sound absolutely totalitarian and tyrannical, so we don't approve of this approach at all, especially since, judging from history, every administration that relied on this method was brought down either by revolution or foreign intervention, while the dictator was invariably assassinated, tried or executed. Lugs and I wish to lead in peace, independently, for a very long time, and more importantly, while breathing.

We do of course object sternly to casual or organized abuse and destruction of durian trees, poaching of durians, and illicit trading of durians to enemy factions. These will fall under the category of treasonous acts, punishable by years of forced labor in state durian plantations.

Also, to quote from a poster I once saw at a polling station: "Accept the money, vote for other candidate". Anyway a candidate who buys votes usually ends up spending his term of office busily recouping the money he spent during election. Even when he didn't get elected (there was the local case of a political candidate who ordered the carpet he donated to a house of worship rolled up and be returned when he found out he lost the election).
