im finding dificulties with reading guild chat when in dungeon cause of all the drops off other ppl and when i walk in a new location, is it an idea to make this a user setting or something? some ppl might like the annoucements some might not.

This isn't a bad idea. We're already working on changes to chat/notifications. Will discuss this as well.
What if you added more choices to the various chat window toggles:
-1 line full chat
-3 line full chat
-full window all chat
-full window drops chat
-full window guild chat
-full window PMs
Not necessarily those choices or that order, but just something that basically "filters" by grouping.
