Not at all lol. Look at ozz the merchant in forest haven. he wears onyx leather (assumng its leather cuz hes a bird). Lily in muck hovel wears croc scale armor....he isnt the only npc at all lol.

Also in forest haven trees a bear with a green openhelmet- which I don't believe you can get.
