Well every time the devs have come out and said something they where met by an avalanche of complaints and negative posts. Doesn't encourage them to divulge anything ahead of time, does it?
Well last week a dev said he did not expect release last week, but possible this week.

We'll have some more previews of what's coming next announced in the near future.
If you're waiting for the iOS version, you won't really hear anything on that front until it's approved. There's no real need to dig into specifics like "Called Apple today" etc.
