I need help killing Miner McGuirk in Delta 7...

My goal is to get my first character, RoyalCommando, to level 26 while completing all the quests along the way. So far, the hardest one for me to complete is the one where I gotta kill Miner McGuirk. Its the final quest I need for Delta 7. Then I can get to leveling to enter Numa Prime and do those quests. So can anybody help me kill him? I think I know how to kill him already. Dont attack. Just kite like hell. Right? Because his rock attack hurts him. I really only need 1 or 2 engineers to rev and heal while I kite like a noob. So can somebody plz help me? Thanks.

You got the kiting and dont shoot part right but if you dont wanna die as fast shoot some of the squids but make sur you target them and not the barrels... add me my IGN is thisguy... ill help when i can

I'm at his point also, and struggling.

So to be clear, you basically kite him, don't fire (apart from on the odd manually targeted alien bug), heal and spam pots where required, and he will just kill himself? Is that about right or have I missed something?

Nope that's spot on.. if your a commando this can be done quite easily.. when he stops he hits a/few barrels which breaks the un-hatched eggs can shoot what ever come out but never shoot if they are close to the glowing barrel.. when he stops and trips or stamps in a hissy fit because he can't catch you.. you need to stop until he gets back up then he will charge at you at this point you try to dodge or build up your defence so that you don't waste much stim.. if possible have a few engi in hand to heal when this happens as if miner hits you head on can deal quite a large amount of dmg plus will hit you to the floor so it takes a while before you can get back up and do the same thing about 6 or more times n then miner kills themselves.. fun haha

I'm stuck on this guy too. Frustratingly, we had him almost dead one time, and someone in the party, either by accident or by stupidity, ran away from the area and McGuirk followed, which of course made him heal back to full strength. I just about threw my phone out the window.

I did something equally stupid! Dropped into a game, where a couple of people had died and respawned. I knew you don't have to attack at all, but hit autotarget by accident as we was approaching the room, shot a hatchling and got aggro. Miner came at me and reset. Apologies all--to the person that left, we finished it

yesterday we tried to kill him fpr about one hour. Also i was in a random group the 5 guys tried it a lot of times and stayed together as group. We didn't shoot, just ran around. But again and again he killed one after the other. I could'nt revive as much as partymembers went down
I'm an Engi at lvl 18. Is there a chance to kill him alone ? So he will just be focused to me. But sometimes i got stuck, couldn't run, although he was on the opposite side of the field. Is there something like "glue" i have to avoid ? Or does he spread "fear", so i can't run anymore ?!

i try to keep me away from him. I revive whenever possible, i heal when a wounded member passes me or i can get to him. But again and again i have no long life in the circle. What do i have to avoid ? Where is the best place for an engineer ? I feel like a "most stupid user" more and more as i don't manage to finish this level !

you need a good tank in your party to take aggro and you'll be fine - add honey if u like
