Melee weapons?

This game got some great potential, it reminds me of phantasy star online.

I haven't noticed any melee weapons yet, plasma swords etc.

Are there any?

No. At least, not yet.

With the strength of the mobs in SL, keeping your distance is a good thing anyway. xD

I don't play SL much yet but I read a lot about it.. Not sure if there's melee weapons yet but I imagine because the game is still very new, they'll be expanding and adding new content as time goes by... Will be exciting to see.

ALS also said we can expect melee/ranged weapons, like the guys in numa have, they still are ranged but do less damage than if u were up close.

Or throwing light sabers like little ones you would throw this will only work on operatives because there Dps and the dudes in Numa have energy swords they must feel like Obi-wan kanobi

Since some enemies and allies carry light sabers [on Numa Prime], I'm thinking we'll probably get em to.

This game does remind me of PSO aswell, partly why I'm so hooked melee weapons would be sweet, for sure.

The difference between these sci-fi weapons is shape.

Light sabers are shaped like a straight beam of light locked in place and are cylindrical basically.

Energy swords are shaped closer to medieval swords, and are basically laser versions of these weapons.
