Allow to trade vanity items

Dear admin,

It's really inconvenience that we can't trade vanity items. I wish I can send any vanity item to my friends as gift but I can't. Could you do something on this?

Gifting, yes, but directly trading would be a bad idea. Vanity items would become less special IMHO.

You can trade ingame drop vanities, so some are in fact tradeable. Isn't that enough? Seriously if plat or special event vanities (Like Hardlight Shield) were tradeable they'd cease to be special.

Yeah but some items are so rare and u have multyple items and u want to give one away like i have 14 xperia play buttons and my bro wants one cant give him one because we cant see so we should be able to give but not trade because you might get scammed in trade or we should be able to post them in CS imo that would be a good idea as well.

I don't think it has much to do with keeping the items special, but a way to generate profits. If vanity became tradable, who would want to buy them. It would be more of a waiting game for someone to sell one so you can save your plat and just use in game currency for the purchase. It could be another way for players who buy plat to get insane rich, since the plat items wouldn't be available to everyone (not all players buy plat). Buying an extra vanity item and placing it in cs for say 9,999,999 gold will probably sell since it's the only chance a player without any plat can get their hands on it.

The game still earn profits Even thought the vanity item can be trade or give away. Someone still need to purchase them before trade or give away.

I imagine that someone would put that amount down on a Big Luck item, but it was meant to be a bit over the top. Honestly, I didn't put any actual thought into how much someone would actually be willing to part with for a vanity item. Before there were daily deals I bet plenty would pay gold cap for an "exclusive" vanity item, now that there are weekly blast from the past items being offered, it's just a waiting game.

Yes, but I said maximize profits. Some would still buy any/every vanity item offered simply because they can. Those out there that have to ration their plat out would be more inclined to wait or ask a friend to buy it for them. Imagine the beggars this would create. I've already watched someone beg for a tier 3 guild (both in game and out) which is 100 plat, so begging for a 15 plat item doesn't seem quite as bad.

Sorry, but I'm still against this and the others have given better reasons that me.

Meow since when can you trade plat vanities in SL to other players once you buy it? I didn't know that. Since non Hooch in PL vanities have been special and untradeable I figured SL can't let you trade any vanities either.

BTW I had a beggar continue to ask to see my Hardlight even after I told him it can't be traded. Then he went on to spam "buying darklight shield" for a while. Yes, apparently he can read either.
