THE SOLO BOARDS - Ongoing Unofficial Contest

This contest is for recognition of players who defeat bosses solo. I will add your accomplishment to the list if you post it in your reply to this thread, including the following information:

Class (Bear/Bird/Mage), Name of Your Character, character level, Boss Name, Date of Boss Fight, **Elixer status** (no elixers, gold elixers, plat elixers)

Here is an example:

Mage, Prismatix, Level 52, Goldfever, 9/21/11, no elixers

The rules:
1. Honesty - Since the nature of the contest is solo, you have to report your own accomplishment. The accuracy of your statements is on your honor.

2. You must defeat the boss all by yourself, even if other players helped you clear the map. That means: no other player went in the boss room, no other player engaged in boss fighting or aggro, no one revived you or helped keep the boss from resetting. If you can think of any other way a player could help you, that's also against the rules. (Haha, thought you were going to get me there, didn't you?)

3. You can use any distribution of stat points for your character build.
4. All gear including rings and vanity items is allowed.
5. Each character class will be represented on the boards, so each boss will have Bear, Bird, and Mage listing slots.
6. Only the lowest level player in each class will be posted; if you are on the board and a lower level player of the same class defeats that boss, you will be bumped from the board.
7. If you do not include all of the information stated above, your accomplishment will not be added to THE SOLO BOARDS
8. You must post here within 10 days of the Boss win; for example, if your game was on September 16, you have until September 26 to post. Clarification: If entries are submitted for the same boss by two or more characters of the same class and level, entries will be added based on earliest posting, not earliest date.

I will attempt to keep this updated, but please be patient because I have no idea yet what the volume of responses will be. Suggestions and feedback about this contest are welcome. I will fill in the individual bosses when I have more time. And yes we already know that you can solo the Galactic Overlord with your level 1 twink, haha.

I did consider including details about build and gear, etc. but I couldn't think of an efficient way to include it in the listing. Since the character names will be posted, it may generate discussion about what gear they used and how the battle went.

I decided to make it more of an open concept, in that you can try with any resources available to you for you class at a given level. That way a player my attempt a boss, upgrade gear, attempt again, respec, hybridize or whatever, and find the build they can actually defeat him with.

Anyway, it's all for fun, and if you think of an easy way to include other info please let me know.

I also thought of allowing a short comment on the line, like "enchanted wand set" or "took 35 minutes" or "dex bear" etc

I've soloed most of the bosses in Sewers.

With a level 56 enchanted staff pure int mage, it took about 6 minutes to solo Gold Fever and 3 minutes to solo trash heap. Elixirs must be used for queen, because she heals 2,800 every 5s IIRC, and the goblin king, because the totem has too much hp (although I do recall they nerfed it, so may be not anymore). I'm not sure it is possible to solo Coakroach as mage. The best mage spells are all AOE and you can hit the garbage bins. It is however possible to solo the Coakroach as bird or bear.

Great info, thanks for adding to the discussion. It is an interesting question to wonder what is even theoretically possible. I attempted bandit queen on my 52 mage with gold elixers (1.5x tank and damage), and even then she healed so fast that I couldn't make significant progress before the elixers wore off. I wonder how these things will change with new lvl cap and gear. Does a 61 mage in demonic gear and vanity set bonus have a chance at queen, goblin king or Cockroach? Is solo still out of range at that level?

Roach is easy to solo as a mage. Just use a staff and kite. No elixirs needed.

Remember, you can't use lightning, ice storm, or fire for fear of blowing the bins. So you are left with auto, frostbite, and drain.

Lvl 53 mage. Stealthyman. Shadow caves I cleared. 26/09/11. No elixirs. Using lowmans set. Also killed Gurg solo. 26/09/11. Gold elixir. Same day. Also killed Keeper solo. No elixirs :-D 26/09/11.

That, I have a hard time believing you on.

Mages without fire which pushes the target back have no equal to repulse. It's inevitable that he will get a few shots. If he's buffed, you will die. If unbuffed, you can usually get a few pots and live.

As one person said above, video or it never happened.

Nuri's hallows-Snake Charmer 27/9/11, approx. 15 mins, no elixirs. Tip: Keep hiding behind pillars so you dodge the grey blast that makes your legs in to stone, that spam all your skills and so on. (avoiding grey blast makes you immune to the one hit blast)
