Whatever happened to teamwork?!?!

Hi,
I've been away from the game for a while, and restarted when I heard about the new lvl cap and content.

Unfortunately I've noticed that many, heck... MOST of the Nuri games I've been in during the past few days show a HUGE lack of teamwork between players!

I see parties with 2 or 3 mages with no one healing, bears hanging around in back, players wandering off on their own, or ignoring fallen teammates. Above all else, I see a bunch of people rushing rushing RUSHING forward, regardless of safety or teammates, like there is a prize for fastest time thru a lvl. Of course, mostly those ppl die quickly. Sigh.

Am I missing something? Has the style of play just changed, or is it my fault for having taken time off and am no longer competitive?

Insights welcome, and invites to good solid teams as well, LOL!

You're welcome to run with me whenever you want! I'm prone to talking excessively though.

Teamwork? Have you seen the greed in people's eyes for the new sets? As long as that is there, I don't think there will be teamwork for a while.

Also, these 4x elixirs make people think that they are immortal, on elixir or off. They radically change your play style if you grow dependent on them, unfortunately.

We're already friends from long ago (unless u deleted me LOL)

I 100% see your point about the new sets causing crazy greed and elixirs causing " false immortality" syndrome. Very insightful points, Apollo!

I guess I'll chill until the new content fever dies down a bit before I get really annoyed hehe!

Thank you for the compliments! Yeah, that's what I suggest. I have been trying to avoid PUG's right now, because all they are doing is burning my platinum elixirs. Thus, I wait for guildies/friends in order to get top quality runs.

Last time I saw a post like this it was about CtK and folks being power levelled before they implemented the level restrictions. I guess we now have the elixi-gen. lol

Agree with Ellyidol. With the advent of all these elixirs, teamwork and skill have gone the way of the dodo. Sure there are still good teams and good players but they are harder to find nowadays.

Just because some people use elixirs (for various reasons such as faster farming runs), does not mean they are not good players without one. I have been lucky to be in some of the most ridiculously team-oriented parties I have ever been in, that coincidentally with all using elixirs for quicker farming. I have also been in some total non-elixir runs where I was shocked by how well people stuck together. All depends on the players in question and the situation. To call it elixir-gen is ignorant, sorry.

True, but there are many, many poor players who rely on the elixirs play in Nuri's.

Well it's all about the elixer-infected-players. There have been more post about it, like this one. It seems private games are the only solution, unless you want to boot all elixer-infected-players. Be sure to see the difference between a 5 min daily and 30min+. Ever since elixers are payable by gold and not just platinum this has been going on.

But you can use this rule, elixer-infected or not: if a lv 61 player has less then 35.000 kills, they are no good. Certified.

Which fundamentally proves the fatal error in Suntv's statement. Number of kills is a very unreliable metric for determining player skill.

And Necro has been around for long before Nuri's Hallows was ever introduced.

I know of very good level 61 bears who don't use elixir, takes the heat but doesn't make the kill -- less than 15k kill, but better than the average bear.

Nuri's is just so much different. People who may be used to being able to run through a dungeon may be having a hard time adjusting to the difficulty change. But I agree, I see some lack of teamwork also in some games. Not everyone is like this though. Maybe people just get excited to be in Nuri's and just don't think as clearly as they should. Maybe people are more preoccupied with pink drops than the team. Im not sure...
