Sincere Apology & Appreciation

Most of us players are aware there was an Exploit found in SL using Google Chrome. All it did was give you the option to hide or customize your inspect screen.This did charge 2 plat to finalize & it was very similar to Inspect screen customization in PL.

I did keep the information to close friends & guild mates for a good day day & a half. The cries of many users - In Game & on the Forums finally made me decide to go public with the information.

Looking back, this was not a wise move on my behalf. I am not new to the community, but I am not one of the many that have been around since the beginning of PL. I did come in much later. I am not buddy buddy with any DEVs as many people believe I am. I have had the opportunity to meet a few in game & one popped into our 1rst SY run just to wish us luck. That really made my day by the way! That is about it. As anyone, I hold it as a special treat to see a DEV in game. That said, I have never pm'd a DEV on the forums, I never had a good enough reason to. I'm not one to waste any ones time pming you for no reason at all.

After this incident, I will be contacting a DEV as soon as possible if anything that could be considered an Exploit is found on my behalf. Hind sight is 20/20 & looking back, that should have been my 1rst move. Just never had the reason to in the past, so it didn't even dawn on me. And I really thought it was an Easter Egg, not an Expoit.

So I would like to officially apologize to the STS first & foremost for not bringing it to your attention right off the bat.

I would like to apologize to all the players that did Customize your backgrounds & had them reset on you. I know some players did get upset about this. We were refunded Plat spent on Each Character. When it is officially released, we will all be happy campers!

Last but not least I would like to THANK STS for being understanding about this. In my previous MMO experience, that would have Warranted a Quick Ban! I was very worried until I got a reply from Flip explaining everything & putting my mind at ease. Thank you again, I really enjoy your games I feel very blessed to still be here amongst friends!

I don't get why you made this thread to be honest.

You already had a thread about it, and flip said this:

Yes, this button was hidden off-screen as the customization feature doesn't do everything we want yet. Being able to find it by varying browser zoom was a bug, which has now been fixed.
Customized Avatar screens have been returned to normal and plat spent on customizing has been refunded.
While technically this was an exploit the end result was very minor, no hard feelings. In the future if you find a "hidden" feature you can always PM it to me before posting, I'll let you know if it is intended.

I really felt my account was in jeopardy even though Flip did not seem mad.
And, manners to tell you the truth. Wanted to formally apologize to everyone & thank STS for being so understanding about it. Easily could have been considered a Bannable Offense, depending on who you are and how you look at it.

Then I understand you wanted a 'formal' apology. If 'features' are only available through fiddling with the interface, they should be reported, not published on the forum
