Night I think they know all points of view from pvp and pve players.
Seems that they will put more effort in 2018 on AL, so I’m very curious about it, as I think this will be the final AL from the point of view of dev. I mean....deciding to put more effort, with the tons of data/feedback they have, I guess they have a clear lead on what to do and in which direction.
My guess is that pvp before was the main source of revenue for them, but now with awakenings......could not be that true.
As an endgame pve player I can only say that ai enjoy game and at endgame is full of active people. Old and new.
And I’m on fire to see what’s next. Hope my expectation level is not too high xD
If there would be a competition for stupidity, I would be second. Cause I’m stupid

If i hurt your feeling (in any way) i apologise..
Im just trying to get in as many thoughts of game in before this post gets flagged (i hope not)... So lets concentrate on those factors rn..

And im really curious about how many people started playing this and how many are CURRENTLY playing.
Like a graph that shows the decline at various times so we can see what factor caused the downfall..

I agree this games got many downloads.. But thats jus like how many FB accounts are there thats (3X the population of the world) and half of the world dose t even use FB.. (Meaning to say one person has so many accounts which does not benefit.. Only benefit is you can boast.. )

So please focus on the active people and not ONLY the paying people who are generating income..
If you make a globally awesome game (which AL aldready attained in early stages) the income will pour in even in small quantities by normal interested people and the hardcore buyers will buy no matter what..
    ..
This can only come if you do changes that can make the non paying community stand somewhere.. Lol.

Im only seeing people with LB vanities nowadays.. Lmao.. And some wealthy people..
Its basically filtered to the economically rich..
Im still surprised at the activeness during events even after some of these updates..
But as we heard in one.. The people just come in and see the status and once they realised reaching the plat tier is gods task.. They left realising no reward..

Ty again.. Avid AL fan here..

Just because the person wouldn’t sell you an ice golem set doesn’t mean you got swindled, swindled means the same as scammed, when you yourself chose to buy that much plat and now that you can’t find what you’re looking for it’s a scam...

I never understand how people spend so much in pvp only to be "decent." Like with 40m, heck with 30m id be a beast at 41. I've spent 3m for my 41 gear (ring + amulet) and Im not the best player But with an elond bow I become pretty good. I use 80k blades and with luck manage to kill 3k armoured rogues. I just really wanted to point out these exaggerated estimations, please dont mind me.

So I have good gear, maybe not the best, but good. There are items in game I wish I had but it’s alright that I dont have them.

What I can tell you is experience and wisdom speaks volumes in this game. I enjoy a party of knowledgeable experienced players. The best gear just makes the run quicker. What’s fun is the art of a good party.

As horrible as this may sound, a game full of free to play players isnt good for the future of this game. On the other hand if Paying doesnt give you a significant advantage why would anyone pay at all?

As a non plat user theres so much u can do in game right now, slowly farm maus and get better gear. I know some players who have farmed from scratch and have now got almost maxed toons just from maus. The ones that complain are just Lazy and want everything handed to them on a plate IMO.

I dont expect someone whose just reached level 66 to be competitive at PvP with my toon that took me 2 years of farming and a lot of Plat to complete. On the subject of vanities. It is what it is. A vanity. If i want it i will pay the price, if i feel price is inflated i will just say no.

If i recall correctly, they experimented with reasonably obtainable items, but everyone complained about things being too cheap. So then the answer was to inflate the economy by introducing these awakenings with gold loot in addition to increased gold drops in the endgame campaigns. This worked for a while, some people were getting gold faster than the economy was inflating, but now at this point, the market is hugely oversaturated with gold that makes everything too expensive. This isn't a problem for those with regular and consistent access to the mausoleum, but for everyone else, the game is nothing but a race to catch up. Especially since 1)There is a lack of low-level content for players to acquire any feasible amount of gold [IE: Removal of crates from KM3], and 2)The grind from 46 onward is so brutal, forcing new/returning players to grind through 20 levels of exponentially increasing xp parameters with absolutely no subsistent XP quests past lv41. I personlly find myself doing nothing but the same Nordr/Shuyal Dailies for 20 minutes a day, and nothing else.

I kind of like the way PVE has evolved. I wasn’t a gold loot player until recently and I’m only running 100% right now but it’s allowed me to buy most things I want.

I wasn’t a big fan of heroric pets at first but I’m liking the stats boost now.

I was against some of these things at first but I’ve come to realize that you either evolve or you get left behind.

I’m most enjoying end game runs with more players who are geared well. It seems like I’ve met a lot more cool people in game as of late, much more so than a year ago.

Totaly agree with first part. Theres no way to make gold at low level anymore. But disagree on second part. I managed to level an alt from level 10 to 66 in a week and into M6 in another week. Once the Xp dailys are done theres the Hauntlet you can do for Xp, Glintstone and Underhaul maps for Xp. People just want things handed to them on a plate these days sadly and dont want to work for it

The point of the second part is that it is much harder to reach the cap now than it used to back when the cap was only 36 or 41. The high xp reqs is really discouraging for casual players or those with a limited schedule.

On a brighter note, I am also a player who just returned to the game (again) after a year long break. Usually, I would have buddies that would do me serious favors and gear me out. However, when I returned this time, I was sad to see that at least 98% of the people I knew exactly a year ago were no longer playing the game... I had to start from literally scratch.

First off, I want to mention how ridiculous of a grind it is inbetween levels. Sure, the dailies help a great amount, but after a certain level, it starts to feel like pressing imaginary buttons on your wall. On top of that, there is almost nobody leveling up at the same time so you’d be lucky to even find a leveling buddy.

You mentioned how impossible it is to gear yourself for pvp... I agree with you 100%. To the average player, it is indeed impossible. My new account from late December has purchased over 20,000 plat, and I am not even CLOSE to being well-geared. I don’t have a 15m heroic pet, I don’t have the 100m arcane artifact, my equipment awakenings are only close to par, and heck, I’m still stuck with superb jewels. You would think that after one pays a hefty amount of 20k+ plat, they’d at least be close to geared. I know that to a lot of people, 20k plat is nothing, but seriously... do the math. It is outrageous and frustrating now that I see it, that it would cost you well over a $1000 on a video game to be ALMOST decently geared.

    @Nightwatched
I want you to know that you can just ignore all the irrelevant posts and that you’re not alone. You have a great point... people, myself included, absolutely love this game. Why else would this be my third or fourth time returning to the game? I can say honestly that I have never had more fun playing another game than AL. Unfortunately, that was long ago... the game right now is actually depressing. I’m not really a pve player, but what do you guys do? Run the same map everyday? Wow... nice.... and for us folks that pvp. You wanna know what I do? I visit all the other pvp players’ taverns and sit and chat the whole time I’m online. Sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Justg stated that many things are going to happen this year, and I honestly hope it’s for the best, because all I’m doing right now is selling my 20k+ plat worth of gear because I can sit naked and chat all day long. Thanks for making this post.

Fully agree that the grind is very hard and the Xp requirements are a bit too high. But on the other side i do like how in this expansion the harder u farmed the more rewarding it got. As much as i loved the old idea of logging on once a month and looting a 100m shard or S&S i like how most of the people who are farming everyday are the ones making the gold right now.

Fully understand that people are busy IRL and cant always log on as much as others. But i think its only fair that the ones who play more get the better rewards. As someone stated they used thousands of plat but still arent near being fully geared. I also like that too. Gone are the days where u can plat your way through everything. The simple answer is to play more. Sorry for those who cant but as someone who puts in 6-7 hours a day i like the idea of reaping the rewards of playing more. I like that someone playing few minuites a day to do dailys and log off wont benefit as much as i do.

I 100% back this up. There are reasons why more people back then have reached cap than people who do now. Even though we only received 1xp per mob, it went pretty quickly because the xp reqs were low and reachable. Then the final level had 10x the reqs, which actually seems better than the way it is now.

The level between -for example- 30 to 31 at least had a combination of other people leveling, and endgame farmers. So you always zone in with people, and the low stat gap between them didnt make the 31s leave when 30s joined the zone.

I'm thinking about how hard it is even for people completely new to the game. I've made secret accounts starting from scratch and its a PAIN to acquire any decent amount of gold to buy what you need. Sure you get maybe a handful of potions and free legendaries the first 10 levels, but that free level 10 legendary can only get you very far. And a new player is going to be chugging pot like no tomorrow so most of the gold they get will be spent on pots and pet food for Barney. Sure it's manageable for some to get to- or at least close to cap, but what do they do then? Keep farming gold drops in ydra using shazbot elixirs to save up money for a leprechaun pendant in this already inflated economy?

150% Agreed. I came back a week ago after a several month hiatus, and i dont even know what i can do, and reaching cap seems very lackluster and discouraging atm.

Ive recently tried to do a new toon from scratch myself. I relly do feel sorry for the new players. Ive been playing this game for years now and still with all the know how i struggled to feed my pet on some days. Ive said this on a previous thread. A lot needs to be done for new players. Daily login bonuses, a huge gold loot bonus that goes down as you level up are just a couple of ways to help them. Curently there is no way to make gold at the lower levels. Hope the devs seriously look into this in the coming expansion. Its all good giving them gear and xp boosts to get to mid levels very fast. But once they are there they can barely feed the pets.

Also on the matter of leveling. I find a good helpful guild to be a must. But most require certain amount of Ap and PvE kills before they will even concider letting you in. As stated before. With hard work its all possible but for a lot of people i do see how this can be discouraging as inflation is making prices rise faster than even the most hardcore farmers can farm. As for the newbies. All i can say is good luck and hang in there. Hopefully sts will make changes to help u.

As for things to do. Theres graveyard, theres maus (if you can get there through the grind), arena, elite cryostar, northal, Map Aps, hauntlet for pve kills, rune farming, fang farming etc.

Theres a lot out there to keep you occupied in game at higher levels. But i guess these days unless it makes you 1m a day people dont want to do it. Compared to farming tombs all day long for locks and pve kills id like to think we got a lot more to do these days. Only downside is PvP where its 200m or die over n over
