I had a Springer Spaniel, he lived to 17 years which is good going for that breed. I do like Jack Russells but they're so popular they're not often seen in animal rescue shelters. I'll bide my time because I really want to adopt a dog. I miss having one so much..place seems empty.

Just for funzies here are some pics of him from the first day or two of having him. I had basically tackled him in a parking lot during which he bite my gf, wrapped him up for my own safety and drove him 4 hours+ to my apartment. He doesn't look too happy to be there. Can't blame him.
Poor guy. Lol

My gf had actually surprised me with a pure bred dauchsaund (pic below) for $450!!! I said there was absolutely no way I could in good conscience accept. 450?!?!?! When there are dogs like Jack homeless?!?! Anyway sold it for $500 (yeah I made money on the black market for pure bred dogs. ;p) and the night found Jack. Don't know who got more lucky him or me.
I don't know what he is as far as breed goes. I have been told that he looks like a mix between Jack Russell and Chihuahua. I don't really have any idea or care as long as he loves me and I him.
You should totally get a dog. But make sure its the right dog for YOU. Its really nice having his company.

Awww...I have totally fallen in love with the dachshund. Jack is a lucky dog though and I'm glad you rescued him and I still think he's gorgeous. I loved my Springer but it's been a while now, said I would never have another pet, the pain of losing a pet is intense. I shall just keep going to the shelter until I find "the one". I'll keep you posted but I have no idea how to put pics up on forum from this phone.

xD dude my dog’s in a sweater all winter :’) ... not now tho because it’s legit 75* outside.
I have a pure breed yorkie ^_^ had her for two years
She loves to bite me. I let her it’s our special game xD
lol she literally licks you for. a solid 20 minutes. You can tell she wants it when her eyes are focused on it. Then she starts licking, and if you try to move your hand she follows it around then sits on it to make it immobile XD
