What do these 2 chat options do if enabled or disabled, i cant tell what changes or what happens

Toggle smart chat
Filter chat

Toggle smart chat makes it where you don't have to keep typing "/s" "/g" and those other commands
Filter chat turns off/on asterisks on certain words
