Default Doesn't STS have to disclose odds of Locked crates?

See the following link and ctrl-f "odds"

    https://developer.apple.com/app-stor...ew/guidelines/

"Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase."

Seems like STS is in direct violation of this? Since purchasing platinum is possible, and platinum is only means of opening these locked, so essentially you're purchasing "opened" locked crates with real money.

I have feeling that arcane drops have changed many times in the past. Now it’s ~0%

@Spell it's fair to let users know the odds when they're paying for something (otherwise it could be conflated to underage gambling, since you can play STS games if you are 13+), and based on Apple's regulations, they must let us know.

Uh... did you not understand the post or something lol? If a company has an app on the app store, they must abide by Apple's rules, i.e. Apple's developer rules. Whether or not STS has the game on multiple platforms is irrelevant — they must disclose the odds if they want to use Apple as a platform, or not put their game on the IOS app store at all.

I did assume that the change already came and here we are with no odds disclosed,
therefore sts doesn't "have to do it".
If they have to then they will and you'll see it as soon as they legally have to do it.

I didn't think they have to and aren't because theyre evil and busy twirling their mustache

I mean yeah in that regard nobody has to do anything, but since they're breaking Apple's TOS, there might be consequences in the future I guess? (If apple decides to take action, if it's brought to their attention).

if u make apple ban sts ill never give u mana again...... quite literally!
why are u going after sts like this?did u open locked and receive nothing of value or sumthin?you kno sts doesnt HAVE to keep the game running.you like this game so u play it as many of us do(i assume). if its bothering you take a break from it and search for another mobile mmo as unique as Arcane Legends.or just dont open locks.you are basically saying u will through sts under the bus because they dont disclose their drop rates for everyone to see.

i personally believe the ice will crack beneath u if u continue to say that sts is doing sumthin against apples tos.just being truthful.

I do not assume that sts is "breaking apple's tos", for instance there is the posibility that this rule only applies to apps that are exclusively ios.

Actually wowdah is right in this scenario, I don't see any loop holes in their terms, from the article:
    1) Apps should not directly or indirectly enable gifting of in-app purchase content, features, or consumable items to others.
    2) Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase.

Apple specifically states that loot box odds have to be specified, crates are loot boxes, what's the problem here? It will only be a good thing if STS publishes the odds, transparency is always good. A lot of major games in ios like Hearthstone, Clash Royale, Vainglory etc have already published their odds, AL should too.

This could also be why the update for AL was delayed? I know they delayed fire emblem heroes and similar games because of this.

Nah Suentous, there is no "possibility" — that's just wishful thinking. When rules are clearly delineated like this, it's quite clear what has to happen — Apple made the rules easy to understand for a reason. STS is breaking this rule in Apple's developer code, and probably nothing has been done about it yet since it hasn't been brought to Apple's attention (or they didn't look carefully enough at the game to get STS in trouble).

Also I'm not trying to go after STS, I was just reading about loot boxes etc. and stumbled on this, and wondered why we don't know the odds of locked yet (other games have done it, and this rule was a recent implementation). I'm not sure if STS is even aware of this rule, so if anything, it brings it to their attention.

When I said possibility, that is really referring to the chance that we as players might not really understand all the legalities, and sts has a better position to understand.

I doubt they are currently breaking any rule personally, just my opinion. Y'all can have yours too. Here's my pitchfork feel free to storm the gates lel

    Out interpretation of this:

... is that it refers to Loot Crates purchased directly from the Store via In App Purchases (the header 3.1.1 is specifically for In-App Purchases).

Our crates are purchased for Platinum, a virtual currency that is available via a variety of means.
