It's purely for decoration only. Doesn't do anything spectacular, it just sits in the corner looking slightly menacing and gathering dust.
Maybe its pre released nd will get a boost during easter event?

Do any of you currently see this for sale in the housing store?
It was in the store before Hugthulu event , but isnt there now. It was gone at the beginning of St. Pattys event.
There were a few other egg event items under a tab named Egg Hunt.
