Basically new player joining the game(could use tips)

Hi, I am currently working on making a pl account with the end goal being to reach max level, I have been playing AL for the last few years but have only played PL once or twice and never gotten very far and it's been awhile, I have always wanted to get serious about a pl account because of content I feel I am missing out on in this game and I will finally have time to do so. I will start as a mage and stay on the Pve side of things for now, also free to play to begin with anyway.
Just any tips you guys have or if you want to tell me I am crazy for starting this late please let me know below, I will also add my in game info to this thread later on, thanks guys.

If you wanna know the best maps to lvl fast in pl, consider checking Queenlight on youtube.. she made 2 videos which will help you to lvl up. You will know which maps are the best in dropping xp
Welcome to PL if you have any specific doubt then ask on this thread. We will try to answer them all (try asking people in balefort towne, they help a lot too)

Yes definitely check out YouTube videos. At lower levels if you host people are not too likely to join (many still figuring out the mechanics and don't know to check for hosted maps). So use the world map to join populated games, or a goto option in your quest window. The fastest way to remake a unhosted map is to click logout, then continue.

Glad i could help, once you get to alien oasis people will be more likely to join a hosted map. Until then people that don't read forums or guides are still figuring things out

My name in game is Sagaxor, I am currently bumbling around trying to find what order to do quests in, I also see that it shows how many quest each area has and how many you have done, is it important that I do all in every area? Are quests important, and do they give xp?

They are not too important until later levels. They do give a little xp, but the xp you get killing mobs is much faster.

As far as order goes, when i started to focus on mine i just started in forest haven and worked my way up from there

Also, as a mage, you will make friends really fast by spamming heal. Nobody needs to be short on health, just spam it to show them you care

UPDATE: I decided I want to use a different Email for my account so I made a new toon named Whereat. I am currently level 32, one level away from grinding in alien oasis and I have a few questions:

1. How should I distribute my attributes? Pure int or is a mix better?

2. What skills should I use? Should I level up a lot of them or just have a few that I put more points into?

3. Do the trash can punch and the playa's potions stack?

4. Do you want to level with me? If so my in game name is Whereat, just send a friend request


As far as leveling I kinda am starting tonfeel how grindy it is but thats only when I am soloing, with others its a lot easier to do. I am currently in The Elite Way, I think I need to level more before I can do more with guildies though. Thanks everyone for helping

Good questions all! And many answers depend on how much plat your spending!
If your all about spending, i suggest finding a way to get an oktal pet asap.

Yes elixirs do stack, but if you go the pet route you only need your free reroll.

Don't put more than 1 point to revive, max out heal, lightning, blessing of vitality, blessing of might. I use l1 mana shield until I get to higher levels... most go with pure int.
Other than that skill build is all about playing style so whatever makes you more of an asset to the group

Yes and no... I've bought them on occasion, but i had alot of gold to spare at the time, and combo wasn't a guaranteed blessing back then. I probably wouldn't spend on them with a new account
