Fast Cap Shield

The fast cap shield is pretty... underwhelming. I like the glowing eyes bit but could the main part of the shield be a shade of red instead of dark blue to match many more armors in the game?

I went ahead and made it out for you guys to see the difference.

Of course Cinco can also add a new fiery/lava texture if he wants, my pics are just a suggestion since I have no access to game assets :P

Blue matches new gear which is what it was meant for reason it is l105 only and personally it looks better blue in my eyes

The problem is.. there is not much of a difference after crafting the quick cap shield. It's nearly the same as the normal cap item unless you look at it with a lot of attention.
It almost seems like capping in the 1st week was not worth it because the cap item and the quick cap items are nearly the same... Obviously unlike other caps (huge difference btw psyko and dev / unique quick cap items like egg)

I like your designs but I don't think it matches the new gear at all.

The shield could use more shades of blue and black to look more appealing and to differentiate itself from the normal cap shield. Make the eyes glowing/sparkling blue or black.

I was fine with the colours... i just think the overall design that looks much better on tank classes. A tiny little mage with a tiny little wand looks like it's hiding behind that giant shield lol

It would be awesome if it had a unique look for each class, like founders helm for example has a unique look for bird bear and mage.

Yeah except it doesn't match the new gear and it looks even weirder with red eyes/sparkles so this design would match vanity armors that people actually wear.

Plus, does mantle match humania gear? Does Fang match vampyr gear? Does SOH match glyph gear?

The issue with those items is they from the cop set which is why they don’t match just one set is because they match a vanity set but if you’ve have seen the 105 elite helm and armor then yes the new shiled does match and the red sparkles go well with the set have bonus sparkles which are an orange-goldish color.

I have seen it, and it doesn't match... like at all. It's an ugly mess of weird shades of red and dark blue. I don't care if the shield isn't red I just want it something less ugly.

It's already grotesquely large as is.

The shield becomes red or not. Its on cinco on what color will look the best. It should just be different from the cap shield... It looks the same and this was my 1st quick cap item... And it's already looking the same. Makes it seem like quick cap was not worth it. I would have nearly the same shield if i just capped later...

The fast cap reward is not nearly as awesome as the previous two fast cap rewards - the egg at 76 and mayneak at 100. But also, this fast cap is not nearly as difficult to obtain as the first two, even after the xp nerf, by A LOT. So seems about fair, really.

Very true, 1 reason why I'm not going to spend alot of time thinking about it... it was awesome for us to get anything at all from capping quick imho

Perhaps a new type of benefit could be added to the crafted cap shields. I don't have anything in mind, specifically. However, a friend of mine pondered about the possibility of adding 1.5x stackable pve damage buff or a 1.5x increase to gold drops. Either of those would be a first for sure. In any case, the shield is new and unique content - thank you.

I dont think that the shield should get any special benefits. The level 105 cap was way easyer then 71-76 or 85-100.
