Default I have an idea to deal with trade scams

So most people in the community have either been scammed or been the scammers themselves at least once inside of Arcane Legends. And I, a victim of scams as well as the witness of many scams, understand how frustrating it is when a scammer hops away free with your hard earned gear/gold.

    Here is what I propose:

After every trade, there will temporarily be an option in the notifications box of both of the players who traded (maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute) that allows the player to undo the trade. (only requires one player to hit the button if they are unhappy with the trade). If this button is hit, both players will have their original items restored to them and the trade will be reset.

How this would work with a scam:

Lets say for instance that I payed 300k for a lep, but it was however swapped into a lunar pendant. If i notice this within the 30second time interval, then I could hit the undo trade button and have my items returned to me.

Hopefully the Devs take this into consideration ^_^

P.S. If the item traded was an egg/chest/any sort of consumable item, upon consumption the undo trade button should be removed. I know this isnt perfect and can still lead to a scam if someone scams and egg and then opens the egg too fast for the other player to undo the trade, but I still feel this is at least an effort to prevent a good majority of scams.

i thought about this, but make it where after 1 minute passes you can claim the gold and items unless one player cancels it. So the scammer cant buy an item from auc and be unable to give the gold back.

I just thought about removing the button, since essentially that would be like retrading wouldn't it?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    idk

I guess the best most simple answer is: "Don't loan anything unless you have the intentions of not getting it back"

Walk to a busy corner of your town, put on a blindfold. No peeking. Throw your wallet as far away as you can. Wait 15min. Remove your blindfold and fetch your wallet. With your wallet in hand, come back into the game and lend someone one of your items.

You will never be scammed in game again.

In regards to traded eggs, chests, consumables etc, introduce a timer where these items cannot be opened until the 30 seconds trade timer you are proposing has passed. You also have to consider that the gold used in the trade would have to be bound to each player for 30 seconds therefore preventing it being stashed, spent, passed to another player etc. There are many things that would have to be implemented including non removal of jewels from items for 30 seconds and so on.

I've another Idea. Many scam bcs they need Gold or don't have Gold to but that Item. Judst create a new Store where you can lend Eggs (cant open only put in free egg slot), Items or something. All can't be sold! Price: Arcane Items: 100 Platinum
    Mythic Items: 50 Platinum
    Legendary: 25 Platinum
    Heroic Eggs: 150 Platinum
    Vanitys like LB: 500 Platinum

ive play AL for more than 2 years now and never got scam, the system in place work perfectly well imo, if someone get scam its because they dont take the time to read carefully before confirming transaction or worst they have loan something and expect honesty from someone they dont know and have never seen irl, so dont lend something u hope to get back and take your time when you make any transaction with other player, and you should be fine!

I havent been scammed either. Most of my friends havent been scammed. They don't need a new system or safe guard. You as the player need to take advantage of the current system. If you can't be bothered to look at the transactions now why would you with added layers of security? Is counting zeros to hard? Is looking at the item befire hitting confirm to difficult? If you read the forum at all you will see repeated a hundred times
"don't give ANYONE your items for nothing".
"Dont lend your items out if you want them back"
"If you deside to trust someone what happens next is YOUR fault."

If i was sts i would ignore all the scammer reports. They can't be expected to protect you from yourself.

I have to echo Pat and Cap. I have not been scammed either. But I also rarely buy anything outside of auction, just to be safe.
