Can we be able to open multiple of the same pet?

I want to have a pet like chester as my passive on every pet but can only have one.

I know that letting passives be slotted wouldn't work because nobody would open eggs anymore but what if we could open 2 or more of the same pet and be able to switch between them and slot different AA and happiness bonus on them.
