To me its weird that sts actually is serious about adding marriage into this game. The "sim" aspects of a game should stay in said games genre. I guess thats what you get given the types of people that play this game nowadays.

In my opinion, this makes AL look ...different in the aspect of what genre of game they are making.

AL lore does not hint anything about genders. Though the way they dress and look makes us feel that they are male/female. Its just your perception.
Sorcerers (Shuyal people/ Notts) is a race that in human perception looks like alien.
Warriors (Norderman) are Giants (they only look like male, gender is not mentioned in the lore).
Rogues (Seafaring People) are possibly another race (lore is bit broken on that side, I am not sure if Kolga was a clan/race/person). Rogues only look like females, In my opinion they are Mermaids.

So for the sake of argument lets just say that there are opposite genders for all the races. Do you see them in their origin cities? Well I don't. For all you know they all are gender-less.

@OP: Gender with respect to marriage does not matter. Grooms Tuxedo and Brides Dress will be available to all the classes. Its your choice.
@Thread: Its only an add-on that has no effect on the gameplay, I do not understand why there is a commotion regarding it.

@Devs: Please fix the backstories and lore pretty please.

Well you have houses. So what comes with houses. Marriage!! Then maybe we'll be able to have children in a month or 2 ^.^

Am I the only one that finds that AL shouldn't be like The Sims?

I am a mage, too. I don’t why but I just find it really weird. But I love mages especially when farming. I gotta go with Mage Pride event! Haha

You guys needs to get out of your bubbles. I laugh at people who are saying AL becoming SIMS just because of having Housing and Marriage system (add-ons). They certainly haven't played: Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Age of Wushu, Ragnarok Online.. etc etc.

Get a grip on reality, move on and do something productive instead of ranting here.

O don't get me wrong, its known for games to have marriage system and such but what need is there for AL to have it? Look at all the things it lacks, all the things that would be way better invested on to improve the game. At this point yeah marriage system won't be undone but all this ranting is for future reference. There is a difference between necessity and luxury.

Have you seen the thread (poll) for guild furniture? I am pointing it just as an example to show you the diversity in forums.
You see this feature as unnecessary, some of others wanted it, and some of us don't really care about it. They introduced many new features in game with this expansion, they all are introduced to AL because the developers of the game felt like it. It's as simple as that.

I don't know what all things AL lacks, but If you do then use the "Suggestion and Feedback" space. Make a thread and put all your ideas/features forward. Quoting other to prove your point is just waste of time, your ideas are going to be wasted in between rants. At the end of the day its all useless if devs wont even read it.

You know that this feature wont be undone but then you continue to rant about it for "future reference"? what does that even mean? What you gonna do in future.. point the devs to this post and say "I told you so..". There is simply no need for it IMO.

Negative things tend to get deleted so I'll try to keep this as simple as possible.
Before marriage system was released as a teaser I haven't really seen is pop up as suggestions or something similar so I don't believe that it was really desired. Yes now that it is planned to be released there's a hype for it.
Another example silly as it may be is housing, in the beginning it was said that houses would always remain something optional, the nightmare expan and even before proving other wise be that as it may no big fuss about that. It was accepted as it was and so will the marriage system but I for one know plenty that want the game going in a different direction, most of us aren't playing because we want a sim feeling, let's look back at the beginning of AL were there any sims characteristics? No. Just pure MMO/RPG. That is the AL that most long for.

Besides from this, I know plenty that stopped bothering with forums all together because of the specific critic only allowed on forums. While devs seem to be facing critic more often nowadays it wasn't the same before. This caused many to simple just stop bothering with giving feedback whatsoever.
Example: Release of Lich. Upon release you'd close to insta die upon entering the boss room, most cases resulting in DPS dying within a second or two. People complained about this and devs claimed that everything was working perfectly fine.
This is one of the biggest flaws in my opinion. Devs should play the game way more often IMO. Not only play it but be above the avarage player skill wise. I don't really see that very often.
Dev LIVE streams and such should be more frequent, not only does this boost the promotion for the game but a LIVE stream upon release of something new on AL will increase the hype and the bonding between dev and community. There's a whole other world besides forums who think differently about a lot of stuff.

Support: I won't deny STS support team has been very useful in the past and for this I am more than grateful. But some time ago I couldn't even be helped within 30 days even with multiple emails send. Thankfully a friend of mine was recently granted help from support if not all of my friends hard word would have been thrown in the trash.
But I think we can all agree that the support team could use a small boost. It's not exactly that STS is hitting failure in finance. They make quit a decent buck for a 'small' gaming company.

These are all just smaller suggestions that most people would like to be worked on instead of things like housing, marriage and such on. Those things are good but there is priority IMO.

I think you all have valid points. I have in the past said I liked all aspects of AL but after reading through I have to say that I do miss playing. What I mean by that is, so many deserted maps now. We used to do planar arena during our level 40s era, I never see that happening nowadays. Elites, mines, all done with fun teams. I used to play a lot more then than I do now even at capped levels the maps were played. Guildhalls were used to socialise, have meetings and even birthday parties. I have now realised that it's just boring and I apologise for saying here what a lot of people are saying in-game. There's no camaraderie anymore. The game is mimicking real life and that's sad because I played to escape the one-upmanship of real life. Now, I am ashamed to say, have fallen into the trappings of it. Oh.. I have a nicely decorated cartoon house and a vanity I can fly in but it's not as much fun as it was when we all looked out for each other and played in Km3, lost mage mine, farmed aps in elites and twinks enjoyed PvP. I'm happy for people who like to be married in the game but that was happening years back, people just got on with it. There is no elated feeling at looting a lock or completing a difficult map. Have a good day all.

Well it seems you didn't learn or understand anything from my previous post. I even underlined the key aspect for you.

I did not read your whole post, just did selective reading and I see its just another rant on studio/support etc.. etc.
Do you realize that you are not going to gain anything by saying all that to me. You just wasted your time typing all that.

If this is how you voice your ideas/feedback then no wonder you are not heard yet. Know your audience and know your argument.
I could have just ignored your post all together without replying, but then I see you are upset with things. May be you are right, may be you are delusional, at the end of the day your opinion is just your perception based on "your" experience.

Preach as you please, after all you are entitled to your opinion as anyone else is. But then don't get upset for them not hearing you when you are not capable of speaking the language they understand.

PS: I will refrain from reply your further quotes, I think we wasted enough time here

Oh dw I wouldn't have typed it all if it was only towards you, people will read this thread and may or may not read that post too and all of the things that I've listed above devs have already read 100% before
