The aa of heroics and ordinary pets are the same i guess, Then maybe the levels of the heroic cottonkill is higher than the legendary cottonkill thats why the shield absorbs too much

The AA isn't stating the % of damage it absorbs, they both say the same: allies receive a damage absorbing shield.
