It would be cool if we could level up the spirit gears using platinum as our pets.
The current way is too slow.
Allowing us to use 60% exp elixir and pets/gears with XP boost to level them wouldn't be bad either.

Simply adding what it seems to be leveling the gears for plat? Would break the purpose.
But using lixes/pets/xp awakens to lvl them up seems fairer.

There is the Spirit Marsh Dungeon, which is a purchasable elixir for platinum as well as craftable. The Spirit Marsh is a zone with enemies locked at level 67 give or take party size, so at 71 they will die much faster and thus result in faster leveling of the spirit weapons.
Direct purchase to level up a spirit weapon isn't off the table, but currently not something we're looking at doing with the expansion so fresh.
Waiting for new arcane weapons spirit doesn't seem worth it if they're only mythic stat wise.
