10 posts before starting a thread rule
Can this rule just be removed, feels like most of the time people just necro old threads to get their 10 posts and it can be so easily avoided and im not exactly sure why it was necessary in the first place
This can turn into the thread dedicated to getting your 10 posts go for it

Yeah, I was doing this some time ago.
I think they inititally did this because there used to be people who would spam the forums with some weird stuff. And it was very difficult to stop them

Point is either way its pointless. Removing that 10 message rule is better. Because all they can do now is atleast spam threads, as suppose to spam/necro threads at first, then spam threads.

The thing I don't get is I see some people with 1 post count making threads. They have special privilege of some sort?

Never seen a worse idea in forum.
There has been times when people create same thread 50 times and it’s very hard to delete that many threads. Sometimes I have seen people spam porno links like 20 times with new threads. It was during a weekend so devs could not delete or ban them. That is with the 10 post rule. If they didn’t have this then people just make a new account and repeat another 10 threads.
Would rather revive old threads and have a laugh at it.
If it’s not relevant then just ignore It and so will everyone else

This is just an easy way to avoid random threads popping up from 2013, if a bot wants to spam they can do it on any thread so why not make it this one so nobody clicks on dumb irrelevant things
Im siding with the devs here on this decision for 10 posts before making a thread. On PUBG forums there are bots that spam those "hack" webpages on threads where you can get like infinite BP (or gold in the case with AL) with both actual hacks that work as well as websites that steal your information. This is a very strong counter measure and while it does discourage people sometimes coming to the forums, it is absolutely necessary, as it makes it a lot easier to maintain ppl like these on the forums, since they have to go through so much more trouble.
Imagine those guys from windmoore spamming there websites here on the forums...

Things like this are in place due to abuse..... This would not be implemented simply due to "bias" or an intent to "inconvenience" people.... This is in place to cater to more "authentic" users and posts....... This is the reason why we can't have nice things.......
