When and why did Plat Prices get so high?

When I came back to SL in December 2017 I noticed that the Platinum prices of Items were higher than they previously were.

I always wondered why because Platinum Prices seemed fair before.

Star Legends (and the other STS titles) was always fun buying and spending plat on.
Back in the lv41 cap you could get the best Engineer PVP armor, weapon AND Implant with under 75 Platinum and still had some left.
Now you dont even get 2 armor pieces for this...even newly released Vanity Items cost 10-15 Platinum.
Buying Platinum nowdays feels like a hassle because you barely get more than 1 cool item with 20$..

I understand that its a f2p game but increasing the prices by like 100% was certainly a step in the wrong direction.

To put that into perspective:

The alien event we just had was a re-released version of the 2012 Infested Deck event.
In the 2012 Event you also were able to buy Flamethrowers for the quest...for 5 platinum each.
How much was it in this event? Like 50-100? I dont remember tbh because after seeing that price tag and didnt even bother anymore.

Same with the napalm..200 Platinum WITH the Gold Discount. Thats more than 20$ down the drain for one weapon...but hey thats fair compared to the 2750 Platinum Weapons in Pocket Legends I guess...

Im sure the prices wont change anytime soon but I just wanted to get these thoughts out.

To sum things up, all I know there was a plat glitch that some people used excessively to gain platinum, to counter this Cicno I guess saw the amount of plat that they earned doing this and decided to x10 the prices of items in the shop. And volia, we are here now. That's all I know, I might be wrong, but I know for a fact that prices in the shop are I guess ten times bigger than what they used to be.

Remove plat offer for free and make price more lower... I buy plat like I got in total 6-7K and I’m getting pissed when I see the pack pet 1200 plat it’s was 120 before..

Facts, you can't sell one item for $20 when you're this small of a game.Your prices are worse than the biggest game ever *cough* fortnite.
