Can't find the quote atm, but Sam wrote in one thread complaining about the recycling of last year Halloween items, that the event items may well be reused.
We saw the same items for Halloween, and I personally assume that we will also get the same christmas stuff. Maybe slight changes (eg for the snowmans hat) but basically the same drops.
On facebook they said they would probably use new stuff

I really hope they dont reuse old gear, as much as I would love to have some christmas drop for my twinks to use I would much rather it be brand new gear. That and another riot would break out if they did :/

@argue, it's because in the US, Christmas is usually more celebrated more than those, although no one ever said anything about not loving them. In my opinion, I think it would be too far if STS added new content for EVERY SINGLE HOLIDAY, minor or major. Just my opinion though.
