    Default Give Item Confirmation Prompt

Another confirmation prompt request to protect players from accidents.

A buddy was concerned about the potential to accidentally give items away via the give button.

Crybabyalert basically said: Since they added the gift button back. Wouldn’t it be ideal to add a confirm button after pressing gift? Just in case you click the wrong item or person?

    My feedback is: Excellent idea!

A future update would require a player to confirm each and every gift.

Example: "Are you sure you want to give <Item Name> to <Player Name>?"

Similar to the liquidation button, are you sure you wish to liquidate this item? This would be a handy safety feature to add to the game. It would help protect people from accidentally giving any item away.

This was never an issue before. People are probably afraid of giving away their "most precious item" when they are looking at how things appear on certain characters on the gift page. People who do this should simply resolve to using the gift feature only when they will actually use it.

But, overall, good idea if STS was considering adding every single small feature.

It's easily added and is a good way to reduce support for those accidents that do happen. It certainly isn't a huge inconvenience to anyone, no more than the liquidation prompts. From a business perspective, confirmation prompts are always a good thing on a number of levels when there's a risk mitigated by adding them.

    Cinco,

I have previously suggested a confirmation prompt for when gifts are given, to help people avoid accidentally giving the wrong item to another player.

I imagined it working like the confirmation prompt for liquidation,

"Are you sure you want to give <Item Name> to <Player Name>?".

I'd like to bump this suggestion in light of the recent situations where players have accidentally given rare or discontinued items to other players, or to the wrong player.

Yes people should pay better attention, but being prompted each time you gift something would be an added layer of protection to help people be aware of what item(s), and to whom, they are gifting.
