Why is tdm so much different then duel, GB and arena

Tdm is my least favorite way to pvp. Why is the buff/debuff system in place? In duel you can't pot and it's fun. Tdm at cap is empty most of the time. Why isn't it all the same? I know arena is a gold sink and that's fine it can stay that way but the others should all be the same.

Pots on pvp would be worst thing in the game.
