Hardcore mode info and feedback request

Happy Monday!

As some of you may know, we're working on a hardcore mode and we'd love your feedback.

Rules:

- Perma-death/ equipment loss in PvE and PvP
- Resurrect @ L1 for plat
- Hardcore cannot play with non-hardcore in PvE (we're going to need your help in tracking down all the edge cases here)
- No trade/ no stash
- No tier-up gift packs

Rewards:

- Tier Banners (Levels TBD)
- Tier Achievements
- Tier Titles
- Tier System Announcements
- Colored Name (on capped hardcore toon)

Only will be able to resurrect by platinum? Then it will separate platinum players for normal players. '-' idk if that is nice.. Maybe some ankh system buying it by platinum but tradeable? So all players can have it.

Could you explain the perma-death and equipment loss a little more please?

Why is resurrecting at level 1 specifically for plat so important?

What do you mean by edge cases?

Is there a way to return to being able to trade and stash once you hit the max tier?

And u cant buy gears in shop?? Interesting hahaha im excited . Bring it on g!!

That is correct, and no trade or leveling care packages, so you only have what you earn on the way up. You eat what you kill.

Edge Cases: You guys know them all, it's how you get around zone restrictions in big events until we patch. Ghosting, leaving portals open, invite from other menus, etc.

Trade and stash, again not the intent but we're open to discussing otherwise.

Well im thinking about looting those wildcard here but i guess im wrong hahahaha .
maybe good gears to loot cool items and egg.. or new arcane artifacts like AA lvl 60 craftable??

If you can't trade anymore, it really seems like a dead end kind of thing. I think it would be wiser to level a alt character rather than your main character then...

From cinco’s previous post I assume all gear is looted ?

Once we achieve a tier, and we die do we start back at lvl1 tier 1?

Do I sense a lil bit of FMJ here with PVE twist? How will team work and parties come into play? Sounds a bit solo.

I strongly disagree with 1st and 2nd rule.

1st rule - Lose 5% of your xp at current lvl when die (sad rogues, sigh).
2nd rule - Ressurect for 5 ankh (but still xp lost from rule above).


Rewards are cool (coloured titles or names, that motivate)

I have some ideas about hardcore mode itself (about bosses/ xp usefulness).

Well, if you cap out in hardcore mode, you're still in hardcore mode. You can't run normal maps with normal people, so essentially the toon lies dormant with a fancy title that is only good for sitting AFK in town. Because why would you continue running maps and risk losing it all? At least if people could switch to normal mode, albiet be forbidden to switch back to hardcore, they could essentially decide to make this toon their new main considering all the hard work they put into it.

Economically advantageous... Sacrifice the ability to trade and stash to become ridiculously rich? I guess as long as we have access to the auction, its all good.

Loose my character? Lol (: any short videos we could see? And these hard core areas current maps? Or new dungeons?

"You only have what u earn"... plus your platinum to save you. The game is already too segregated because of the platinum..
Ik is the way to earn money, etc.. But maybe one way to people who can't buy it have a chance to resurrect too? Maybe some coins or tokens, that u can farm in the map.. if you don't want a trade system..
